In the renovation of this 1952 convent chapel that
also serves a college community, retaining the integrity of the
original architectural vision was important. Devotional adoration
to the Blessed Sacrament can now continue in an appropriate environment
while the primary space is in use for other prayer services or
rehearsal for liturgy. Accommodations for an aging community,
funeral liturgy and non-eucharistic prayer impacted many of the
design decisions. My involvement included selection of interior
finishing materials, design of liturgical furnishings and education
of committee and community at large.
